Where the Karakoram slows down
A stone-and-timber resort in the apricot orchards of Gulmit, with glacier views, a garden waterfall and true Hunza hospitality.
In the old courts of the north, the diwan was where guests were received. Ours stands in the apricot orchards of Gulmit, the historic heart of Gojal, built from hand-laid granite and warm timber, with carved balconies that look straight up at the snowline.
Rest between the Passu Cones and Attabad Lake, wake to meltwater running through the garden, and come back each evening to a quiet room, a hot meal and the kind of hospitality Upper Hunza is known for.

Every room is finished in timber and stone, with quality bedding, heating, 24/7 hot water, complimentary breakfast and windows that frame Gulmit's peaks. Rates from Rs 15,000 per night.
